Today I thought we'd highlight one of our newest talents, the very marvelous Jose Ruiz.
Hello Jose, thanks a lot for taking the time to answer some of our questions. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
- I'm a destination wedding photographer based in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Discovered a late passion and excitement for photography after studying and working as an architect for many years. I like to capture images from a different point of view creating romantic, elegant and timeless images that will last forever. I have a deep love for natural light, moments of happiness moments of beauty and moments of sharing. Capturing emotions, portraits and life.
What inspires you?
- I find inspiration in many things, God, nature, my family and definitively my travels has become one of my main sources of inspiration. Having the opportunity to travel the world and living different cultures has been a new big source of inspiration.
Could you describe your method?
- My style or method in photography is a mix of story telling and editorial, capturing emotions and beauty to create a unique experience of your project. I like capturing kisses, tears and emotions. My goal for each project I photograph is not just to get great portraits, but to give an unparalleled photography experience, and to create beautiful and emotional art from the natural connection with the client. My photographic style is a combination of art and modern portraiture with a touch of joy.
And finally, in your opinion what makes Chateau Challain such a special Destination Wedding Venue?
- The Chateau Challain is a dream of a venue. Everything about it is perfect!!! Not just the building itself but from the moment you arrive to the airport, the drive towards the Chateau watching the country side and the beautiful fields. Everything!!! The Chateau is such a beautiful place, every room has its own magic and personality. Is so big and monumental but at the same time it has a feeling like a home, like you belong there. The team and staff of the Chateau also makes you feel that way. Photographically the Chateau is perfect, Is the castle you want to create your fairy-tale. Every corner of the building is just beautiful to create amazing pictures, the gardens are also magical. It's one venue with endless opportunities and settings for pictures.
