Pulling up to the drive of Chateau Challain is unimaginable. It is a moment of pure awe when you arrive at your destination. From the mere size of the Chateau, the outside laced with its intricate detail, to a castle dog that runs to greet you, it literally took my breath away. I squealed in utter delight at this wedding planners dream - I was even more overjoyed when we walked inside.
When we arrived, Brett started us out with a coffee and a tour of the grounds. The venue is perfect for a fairy tale wedding for anywhere from 50-150 guests, or even intimate elopement. Your guests can stay on site in the Chateau, and whether you choose to have dinner inside or in the gardens you can't go wrong. When planning events abroad for couples one of my biggest difficulties in organizing vendors is sourcing elegant tableware, glassware, chair, linens, etc. They are sometimes very difficult to find, especially in more rural areas. Chateau Challain is nestled in such a quaint village, and I thought it would be difficult to find those detailed items that elevate the space. My goodness was I pleasantly surprised that they have everything you can imagine on site! Whether you want gold, silver, white, crystal, or mixed metals they have it all. They also have candelabras, candles of all colors, and linens for days.
It is a perfect spot for a black tie affair, and they offer services for fireworks to end your happily ever after (I mean how much more spectacular can you get). While there I worked to design a tablescape filled with glamour yet not over the top. It was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and a little glitz. Aside from the tablescape we also did a boudoir shoot in the chambers that was so much fun to coordinate.
Chateau Challain is a dream location for an absolutely fairytale wedding. Everything about it is picturesque and leaves you pinching yourself as to how can you be standing in such a beautiful place and have it be real life. I cannot wait to be back with my next couple!
